Earth Day Zendoodle Art Worksheets
My Earth Day zendoodle art worksheets will keep elementary art students engaged in April. These recycling, plant themed, and save the planet designs make great fast finisher activities for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Students will practice drawing zendoodle art patterns, then add them to one of the 10 Earth Day templates.
Stuck with what to teach in art class before Earth Day? Celebrate the holiday with simple, pattern based drawings that feature globes, recycling trucks, flowers, seedlings, and eco friendly symbols.
The PDF includes 2 printable handouts with an array of easy zentangle designs for kids. There are a total of 60 zendoodles made from simple lines and shapes. Use these with your elementary classes as a fast finisher activity, last minute art sub plan, or just as inspiration for your next Earth Day art lesson.
Also included are 5 pages of printable zendoodle practice sheets. These make excellent warm ups or bellringer activities at the start of your art class. Students can usually complete 1 to 3 zendoodles in about five minutes.
To help students find inspiration and understand the process, you will also receive a “What is a Zendoodle?” worksheet. It introduces the concept and encourages creative pattern making. For best results, use fine tip markers, pens, or even small brushes for painting. Simple drawing pencils work well too.
