Overview of Digital Valentines Day Activities for Kids
First, your students will pick a background to place all their digital build a Valentine cupcake templates onto. Then, they will select either a platter or plate and make it big. Next, they’ll add the cupcake flavor, wrapper, and frosting. From there, your kids can decorate it with sprinkles and candies. Lastly, they’ll dress up it up with cupcake toppers, chocolate decorations, and even some holiday bunting for the background.
And, if you’d like to take it a step further, have students take a picture of a table in their home and have them insert that into the background instead. Use it as an opportunity to teach students about composition and lighting. This art project is also a great exercise in teaching about space, overlapping, and analogous colors.
These digital build a Valentine’s Day cupcake templates include 179 moveable graphics for your students to decorate their own unique cupcake. Step-by-step directions are included at the beginning of the Google Slides document to teach students how to flip an image and change the order of images to bring something forward or backward.
