How to Use This Visual Art Rubric
Print and post it on your art room bulletin board or in a place where students have easy access to it. And if it ever gets splattered with paint, all you need to do is re-print the damaged piece.

Love this resource. It is instantly understandable to the children what my expectations are for their work. The different mediums are useful for those the children may have had limited exposure to in the past. In my class I only use the ‘top’ three examples which I call 1, 2 or 3 star colouring. I have found it useful having the other levels, not just the ‘best’ as sometimes we use 2 star when drafting or in other contexts. I’m very impressed overall. This is such a fun and friendly way to set high expectations which the children rise to meet 🙂
